The Centre for Computing History in Cambridge has received a £1m donation which will enable it to purchase its current premises near the Beehive Centre in Cambridge.
The Centre is home to a large collection of computer hardware and software spanning many decades of innovation.
Part of the Centre's mission is to educate the public in topics related to computing. E.g. in 2018 students from the Sensor CDT held a workshop there to engage children in the development of air pollution sensors.
More details of the donation can be found here.
